Community Summer Picnic 2025

We are excited to welcome you to Laurel Creek Conservation Area in Waterloo, where you can spend an entire day immersing yourself in nature, networking, participating in activities, playing sports, and more. The park features plenty of spaces for kids to play, opportunities to ride boats or watch canoe rowing on the lake, and a beautiful shelter where you can enjoy the lake view and appreciate the park’s natural beauty. All amenities, including restrooms, are conveniently located near the shelter.

As our picnic’s motto is to cultivate friendships through respectful and joyful activities, we have planned numerous events throughout the day for you to enjoy. For those looking to carpool and commute together, we have designated the Stone Road Mall (in front of Home Sense) as the meeting point.

Registration REQUIRED: Confirming your participation is very helpful for organizing the event, including a plan for food and other arrangements. We have over 100 participants confirmed so far. Please be sure to secure your spot by registering or letting us know of your participation by August 12.

The Schedule:
Car Pool: 9.00 am-9.30 am
Arrival: 10.00 am-10.30 am
Breakfast: 11.00 am-12.00 am
Sports: 12.00 pm-2.00 pm
Launch: 2.00 pm-3.00 pm
Raffle draw/Closing: 3.30 pm-6.00 pm
The picnic shelter has enough sitting space, but you may bring your Lawn Chairs and Blankets for your comfort.
